Many thanks to one of my parents for this line when she was asking her child if they wanted a flute lesson, it’s been one of those winters! Amidst the endless snow delays and cancellations, most of my students went the entire month of January without a lesson. It’s not normally my policy, but out of desperation I scheduled a couple of makeup days this week, and I’ve been really heartened to see such a huge response from everyone in my studio. I’m glad everyone is hard at work on their NYSSMA pieces (Save the date: NYSSMA is April 29-30 at Hendrick Hudson High School.); please let me know if you have any questions about the requirements for your level as spring approaches. It’s been great to see everyone and have such enthusiasm during a bleak time of year – my students rock!!
